"Because of the careful planning of the organizational structure of this program I think it is probably more successful than most other scholarship opportunities for these student populations. The primary differences I celebrate are the commitment to support and mentorship throughout the four year process and the training and expectation for leadership that occurs. The fact that these students are an intentional and supported cohort and that they act as ambassadors, resources, teachers, facilitators and leaders is vitally important."

Act Six is making a difference in the lives of our state's urban and community leaders and on partner college campuses. As the scholars continue to graduate each year, our communities are feeling the influence of their education, gifts and visionary leadership. We don't believe that there is any other investment in the future of our cities that offers a more promising return.
Northwest Leadership Foundation is responsible for raising funds for the staffing and program costs associated with providing the recruitment, training, leadership development and career support components that are at the core of the program's success. Every dollar NLF raises for the local program budget leverages ten dollars in financial aid for Act Six scholars.
Act Six relies on support from people and organizations like you to accomplish our mission—those who believe that our campuses and cities can be transformed by strategically investing in the education and development of emerging urban and community leaders. Your gift to Act Six is an investment in the lives of emerging urban and community leaders and ultimately in the transformation of our cities!
